YES HEALTH STUDENTS LEARN ABOUT INFECTION CONTROL
The importance of procedures to help prevent the spread of infection was the focus of a recent simulation in the YES Centre. As a part of Community Studies B – Health, students had to clean up a simulated blood spill using the correct WHS and Infection control procedures, ensuring not to spread infection.
Students had to assess the size of the spill, collate all necessary equipment, don PPE (protective personal equipment), clean the spill and discard of waste correctly. Narjic, Brock and Josh are pictured demonstrating the correct procedures.
