YES STUDENTS LEARN WELDING AND HAND TOOL OPERATION

Certificate II in Resource and Infrastructure students from the YES Centre have spent the past two weeks at TAFE Port Augusta, completing two units of study. They have learnt how to use hand tools and to cut, weld and bend materials. Students made a barbecue plate as part of their welding unit. Next term they will complete confined spaces and working at heights training, as well as learning to operate a wheel loader.
